Call for Nominations
It is time again for a “Call for Nominations” for the seven (7) open positions on the Board of Directors. Each of the seven positions is up for election at the Annual Members Meeting of the Fountain Hills Community Association. The meeting will be held virtually at 7:30pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020.
It is important to both stability and effectiveness of the Association that qualified candidates serve on the Board. Board service means giving time and attention to the Community while attending to its needs, which can be rewarding. Responsibilities of the Board position encompass total Association operation that requires a time commitment and meeting attendance by each Board member. Therefore, candidates should be willing to volunteer their time and become familiar with the Declaration, Bylaws, and existing rules of the Association. Each position carries a one-year term.

Swimming Pool Maintenance
RSV Pools will be performing maintenance at the pool this fall. As a part of the work, the pool will be drained and will include a number of repair items such as resurfacing the walls and floors of each pool, replacing the inlaid tiles on the walls and floor to the racing lanes and targets, as well as regrouting the beach pool ramp tiles so that the pool area will be in good shape for the 2021 season.

Roofing Construction to Fountain Hills Condominiums
Planned construction from mid-September through mid-November in the Fountain Hills Condominium to replace roofing on 18701, 18711, 18815, and 18825 Sparkling Water Drive. To provide a safe environment for our residents, guests, and contractors, the use of the common areas, private roadway, and sidewalks on Sparkling Water Drive will be limited during the roof replacement project. Tree Removal and Pruning Project
Information about the proposed scope and proposal submitted from our landscape contractor, Brightview, for tree care throughout Fountain Hills is available for download here.
Final FY2021 Annual Budget Now Available
The FY2021 final budget that was approved at the May 7th Board Meeting is now available for download. As noted previously, there is a small increase for the Single-Family assessments and a slight decrease for both the Townhome and Village Homes. Condominium assessments will remain the same. Check your mailbox for a postcard from IKO Management the week of June 7th with more information. You can download the password-protected document here.

Community EV Charging Station
The Fountain Hills Community is now home to an electric vehicle (EV) charging station located at 18701 Club Plaza Drive. Look for the EV Charging Station in the Condominium parking area below the Fountain Hills Pool.
The FHC-ChargePoint EV Charging Station is operated by the Fountain Hills Condominium. The Condominium has opened membership for use of the EV Charging Station to all residents of the Fountain Hills Community. Membership is free and Fountain Hills Community members pay only a small fee based on the electricity they consume. Policy Resolution for Parking and Storage of Vehicles
The Board has approved a Policy Resolution for Parking and Storage of Vehicles which will govern all HOA maintained parking spaces in the community. All residents are encouraged to read this policy and report any violations to IKO Community Management.
For safety reasons, please do not park on the sidewalks as this blocks the sidewalks and forces residents to walk on the street. In addition, please obey all “No Parking” and “Fire Lane” signs. We have active towing throughout the community and vehicles will be towed. Play it safe and park properly!
Speeding in the Community
County law specifies a speed limit of 20 mph on private roads without posted speed limit signs. Help keep our community safe and please obey all stop signs and the community’s 20 mph speed limit.
Trash and Recycling
All materials prepared for collection must not be set out earlier than 5:00pm the day before your collection day. Recycling containers must be removed from the collection location no later than 5:00pm the day after. County collection regulations require that all materials prepared for collections must be at curbside no later than 7:00am on your designated trash and/or recycling day. Please also be aware that trash and recycling containers are not to be stored outside on non-collection days, nor are they allowed to be stored on common area property.
